Hey! How is this project going? What's everybody doing and how far in the process are you guys already?

I like doing voices, in general I mean. I can do low and normal voices. So maybe I could do something here too? Well, maybe I don't. I don't think I have a useful microphone and I've got a cold these days. :P

1- Progress is really slow, but it's going good
2- I'm VO Director (lucky you :P )- and you'll learn the ranks if you really want to do this and log on.
3- We're about 45% done.

it's not how bad they want to work on the project, it's what they can contribute to it that counts.

I don't particularly like having 10 'active' developers of which only 2 or 3 at a time are actually doing something. The reason we're not going fast is not because we can't, it's because I can't seem to motivate the group enough.

Obviously I am a rather poor leader, more often busy trying to create stuff myself rather then inspiring others to do it for me. :roll:

but I'm just rattling my brain.

to those of you that made it this far:

1- PART ONE is gonna be completed in a couple of weeks if all goes well. After the betatesting and eventual test-release (without voices), I'll have to decide how to continue in the best possible manner.

possible scenario: I tell all non-active members it was fun, but things have to change. I'll keep them informed of progress, and continue on only with a "core" team of 3 or 4 people. (maybe more, too early to tell)

2- voice acting will begin the moment all parts are completed. when all the parts will be completed depends on how things go from here.

3- recruitment: we need people with serious intentions of helping out, and with one of the following skills:

- music composing
- sound effects

- 2D animation artist
- 2D character animation artist

story, puzzles and stuff are mostly fixed.

I'd allow Master Ghost and Manny Calavera to join (I promised), but I still haven't received a mail with so much as a single idea.

@Master Ghost and Manny Calavera: no mail directed to me personally, no entry to the new forum.

I know a little how to compose music, but I'm not really THAT good. :lol: Well, just as with the voice part: just ask me if you stay short on people for this. :)

I could help on the music, not by composing, but I can write them down on any composing program as fast as hell. And if you need some extra puzzles, I could have some good ideas.

Well, lets just say I mentioned you and Zoom on the RMI project site. I'll pm you the RMI site, as soon as I get it confirmed from Storyteller.

I know how to compose and how to create midi's. But the thing is, I asked how we should include the sax of Manny in the music. Recording that wouldn't create a midi, but a wave or mp3-file. I could try to mix things, but the outcome would always become wave or mp3, and I don't think that's good to work with for such a game.. is it?
