TV Shows

Postby Brush guy » Thu Apr 05, 2012 9:41 pm

So I've finally caught up with all the TV shows I've been missing out on over the past few years, just finished season 1 of Lost and enjoying it quite a lot, although from what I hear it does slightly lose its pace later on, but I don't really mind...

Just started season 4 of Breaking Bad, which so far has been absolutely amazing, although I'll never now be able to watch Malcolm in the Middle without imagining Walt doing all the horrible things he did in BB. :P Anybody else seen it?

Recently finished the Wire, and did actually enjoy it, and not just saying so because I feel I have to. Its a genuinely entertaining TV show, and Season 2 is definitely among my favourite seasons of any TV show I've seen.

Watched the entirety of How I Met Your Mother last week, its just such a feel-good show!

Still have to watch Sopranos, Mad Men, second season of Walking Dead (first season left a lot to be desired, tbh) and Downton Abbey.

I don't watch much TV at all, but I have been really enjoying Sherlock. I'm currently re-watching the first couple of seasons of Spooks, which I just got on DVD.

Otherwise I tend to watch good old TV series on DVD, like The Persuaders and Poirot (I'm very excited for the last season, which will be released this year and will see Captain Hastings return in the final episode.) The new Marple series are also decent, but they don't hold a candle to Poirot or the old Miss Marple with Joan Hickson, in my opinion.

I watch two "modern" tv shows, House, which is ending in about 4 weeks anyway. And the Big Bang Theory because I'm a theoretical Physicist and I feel compelled too :P

I've yet to watch Breaking Bad and I'm looking forward to it! Been getting into the Sopranos more recently! Whenever I have time... :)

Anyone seen Wilfred? I enjoyed it.

Just finished Sherlock, what a great series! Benedict Cumberbatch is now one of my favourite actors, and the fact that Martin Freeman is playing Bilbo in The Hobbit and Cumberbatch is playing Smaug and the Necromancer should be interesting...

I finished LOST, and was happy at how they resolved it, people really led me to believe it just ignored huge plotlines etc.

Finished Breaking Bad season 4, and it is officially the best tv show I have ever seen. I mean, it's the first tv show I've seen that gets better the more you watch, the last three episodes of season 4 are all among my favourites of all time, I just hope they don't screw up when it comes back on air in July.

Watched all of Community couple of weeks ago, such a great show, constantly funny and surprisingly intelligent. #sixseasonsandamovie

Recently re-watched Father Ted, probably one of the funniest shows I've ever seen.

If you like cosy mysteries, Rosemary & Thyme is a pretty good series; it's about two lady gardeners who solve murders... if that sounds completely and utterly boring to you though, don't watch it. :)

I'll probably end up watching it at some point - there are so many shows out there I still have to watch.

For anyone considering watching Breaking Bad, just watch this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYBTX_GmSM8), don't worry about spoilers, everything moves too fast for you to notice anything significant. It embodies everything that makes it, for me, the best TV show ever made. Seriously, just watch it.
