how to get through the jungle in monkey island 2

I have given the crakers to the parrot, and i have the directions.. but everytime i go in to the jungel there is no dinosaure ore pile of rocks??? However im abel to find the Pond.. HELP PLZ!!

Make sure you keep heading right (East) until you reach the dinosaur. You have to walk through two or three screens to get there. It's important you don't take a wrong path (like go North or South by accident). Same with all the other directions.
I can read minds, but it's pointless because I'm illiterate.
