The Adventure Game Polls! Part 1

Postby McPirate » Wed Aug 07, 2002 1:50 am

All right!

All the big firms do it, so why not us too?

Let's create a hype!!!!

Other people tend to create this at the end of their production, but our game is more open to the public, so why not start at the beginning?

The first poll, is just to check out how the feeling about our game is...

So please vote, and also note why you made your decitions...

And always look forward to upcomming progress reports...

Hm... this might not be the best time to start hype. If you try getting everyone excited now, then everyone will be sick of it when it actually comes. Like Christmas. Every time.

Yes that brings up anouth question. How many years do you think this game will take to make. It will obviously take over one year just to get everything planned.

Well, hype wasn't perhaps the best word to use...

I just wanted to get people somewhat interested, so that this forum could be the success we hope for...

I actually think that this fan game never would have a actuall hype...

But the prosess wich some pepole want reminds me of a hype. (Adding small snippets of information, and enqouraging people to post their thoughts about it...)

And by the way? Who was it that choose no on the poll?

I'm surprised that so many choose yes though, even though you only know it is about a clown... (there must be a lot of clown-lovers here)

Twenty years. At least. But probably thirty.

Actually you're not far wrong Haggis, given the immense length of time both Ryback and McPirate are taking to respond to my emails.

I'm aware you may have other things to do, but it's not fair to the project to sit around for days on end waiting every time I send communication to you. I'm tempted to start making decisions without you. You've both contributed useful ideas so far, this isn't about the quality of your work. I'd just like you to try and be more prompt.

I'm sorry, but I just didn't know what to write the last days... The main idea seemed finished in my eyes... And I was wondering what we would do next...

But I would probably not be able to send more than one e-mail per day... (I could try with more though...)

I'm hyped, oh yeah!

Well, we're not sure yet, but there's rumors that the release date is going to be sometime in April 2003. Oh, man. I can't wait!

Alright, the month has been announced! It's gonna be in July sometime in 2003. I can wait the extra months, it's no biggie. Dooooooood, I'm so pumped already!

Sweetness, the official date has been released. They say it's going to be September 12, 2003. I'm marking it on my calendar right now. This is gonna be sweet.

Only 3 more months! Jeez, I can hardly contain myself. I've downloaded all the screenshots, sound bytes, and demo stuff they have out, and I can tell you, that this is going to be the sweetest game EVER!

Aw, man...they say its going to be delayed two months. They want to "wait for the Christmas shoppers". That's alright though. Maybe Mom will get it for me. Oooo, I can't wait. It's gonna be tizzy-tiz-ight.

Good news and bad news. Bad news is...the games been delayed another "few months". No problem. I'm guessing around March 2004 at THE latest. Just some minor marketing flaws. I can wait. The good news is, they released ANOTHER demo, this time you can play as the girl. Man is she a hottie. I have GOT to get this game.

Okay, okay. It's March and there's still no sign of a definate release date. Maybe if I wait a little bit longer. It'll come eventually. It has to come. I'll be here for it. They're probably just updating the graphics. They have to keep up-to-date. That'll make it even better! Yeah! Boy, am I hyped.

(Three years later)

Aaaaaaaannnyyy day now. They said "real soon". Hopefully it'll still be good. I've got the posters hanging all over my walls. The new "Sims: Gettin' It On" game looks really good to, though...

And so on...
