It would be best, if all the people who are currently helping with the game would register there .(with the same usernames as here). Also new people that want to help are welcome.
So we could post all the stuff on the RMI forums in seperate sections.
Visit our "Return To Monkey Island" forum and help us develop a new adventure game!

Can you do animations (CMI kind), or draw character concepts? Those are the two positions currently still open.

Oh, and: the game itself is no longer called RMI, the forum's been moved and a new website is up

Wow. Seems like this thing is really going along nicely...
What amaces me is that I haven't really noticed it before. (I guess I got a bit cynical after the two first adventure games demises on this forum) The artwork looks really nice though, and I wish you all the luck, and I hope for a playable demo in the near future.

Even though I was kicked off the team, I still hope you'll acknowledge my contributions...^-^''o Well, anyway, good luck..

Speaking of which....I've been really pwn--I mean, good with Flash animations. If I can help with credits please ask.

Also, I'm getting a new Voice Over software for my projects...please, If I can contribute in any non-direct way please notify me! :)

he just through us out of the team. the people that were with Elaine not storyteller who dictated his way to the top and took over the project. they were tossed aside and brought in professionals to make a "fan game" which it no longer is.

Well, if you ask me, that's pretty idiotic. If you can get a professional team together, why on Earth would you waste your time making a fan game? It doesn't make sense - come up with an original story, then you'll be able to actually distribute the game, and make money off it to boot.

@haggis: i suspect the professionals in question are either retired or just very good at this type of thing, not necessarily involved in the games industry per se.

to the people who 'walked the plank' : while getting kicked off the project can't have been nice, the goal is to make a 'professional' game, and that means everyone who plays the game will benefit in the end.

we are, after all, fans of professional games such as MI3, and not fans of fan-made games...

Well, it's been a while. The old 'World o'Monkey Island'... :D

Here's a LONG overdue update for you guys: a brand new website! with lots of new content!

Short answers to questions you might have:

- yes, the game will be free to play
- no, it's not done yet, but we're moving ahead at decent speed for part 1. Check out our Roadmap
- it's wholely original and Monkey Island - inspired, to avoid legal issues
- it's completely different from the game we started so many years ago, as a LOT of thought has gone into it.

Any further questions you might have can be answered if you visit our website.

Although i thought my interest would go a bit when i saw it had changed, it hasn't at all. The main character looks a little boring, though he has a charm about him, a cross between Guybrush of MI2 and CMI (the beard) and i think this game will be great graphically. You guys are really talented, and i can see this game being what the Apprentice 2 was to me from AGS, something not professionally made, but made so well, i ended up playing it several times.

The only thing really needed it humour and puzzles, something you can't really see in screenshots. Though i'm sure it'll be spot on.

However, after reading some of your forums i would disagree with some of the comments relating to Guybrush from CMI compared to him in SMI. I wouldn't call him stupid etc., more naive just a young adventurer who learns as you go along. Which added to the charm of the game.
This is the second biggest Monkey Island fan site I've ever seen.

Wow, I do like your artistic style, and from your page on your site, it seems part 1 is well on the way. I look forward to it, despite not being here when it was originally announced.

Good to see the game hasn't died, the last update being just 5 months ago.
