Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings

So apparently Lucasarts are developing a new Indy game, for release on Wii, DS, PS2 and PSP. To be fair, I'm not holding any high hopes for it.

But look at this little tidbit:

http://www.joystiq.com/2009/02/03/india ... e-fate-of/

...you can unlock the classic adventure game, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis!

Wii version only apparently, but still, that's a rather interesting thought.

Let your optimistic dreams about other classics coming back commence!

Didn't read it, but saw something about this on Mojo this morning.
Not really excited by it. I haven't liked Indy games in the last bit since they became more action-adventure - I consistently have problems with the fight controls, and then die and never accomplish anything. I think its mostly because I just don't have good game-fight-techniques.
Anyway, is it just me, or does Indy look skinnier? I liked Indy because he was nerdy, but oh-so-rugged and masculine at the same time. In these screens, he's very.....thin. Not very broad. ... It makes me sad.

I like Lego Indiana Jones though. :)

I think/hope it's just the camera-angle that makes him look like that. I might give this a try if there's nothing else coming to the Wii.

It's a shame that the PC version has been cancelled, with such a varied setting it could have looked pretty and with FoA it would have had a good game too. Ah well, as I own none of those systems, Indy's a miss for me.

I don't think it was ever intended on PC (much the same as The Force Unleashed was). I think it's great they're adding Fate of Atlantis, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are adding it more to convince people like us to buy it. The graphics certainly didn't look good in the screen shots I saw...graphics aren't a big deal to me, but they still didn't look great.
i don't have any of those systems either but I might convince one of my friends to rent it.

For the record, I got it just for fate of atlantis. Relatively easy to unlock. I liked the actual games puzzles and some of the story, but other than that it was hours of flailing my arms like a dyslexic sloth in a fly jar.
