Hey everyone, first of all, sorrysorrysorrySORRY it's taking so long for me to create new pages.
I'd love to continue the comic, but unfortunately time is not on my side.
In 2007 I founded a small animationstudio,
Anikey. The last year I've been terribly busy with an animated short film 'Paul and the Dragon'.
It's a 25 minute film intended for children aged 5-13 years old who are suffering with cancer.
The film, which is based on the life of a real boy, Paul Sanders, who had cancer at the age of ten and survived, aims to help both the children and their parents as they battle the disease. Paul And The Dragon, which has just been distributed throughout hospitals in Holland on the 15th of February (International Childhood Cancer Day), has no spoken dialogue, which we hope will be a big plus in being able to spread the film internationally.
In case any of you are interested you can find more info here:
http://www.anikey.nl/paul/Most of the site is still in Dutch, but you can watch a trailer there and check out some other stuff.
Anyway, back to Monkey Island! I'd sure love to pick up the comic again someday and I have every intention of doing so, but I am not sure
when I will.
Hopefully somewhere this year I'll have time to create a couple o' new pages, but I can't make any real promises. Running your own business takes a lot of time. At the moment we are working on a second animated shortfilm.
But to prove my love for Monkey Island ain't over; here's a little fanart piece of Elaine I did a while ago:
