If You Could Unlock Any Inaccessible Part of the MI World...

Postby HaydenWCE » Thu May 12, 2011 2:30 pm

...Which Would It Be?

They come in the forms of islands, sections of town, buildings, rooms, ships and tiny insignificant shacks; they're parts of the Monkey Island world which the player cannot access. They're in every game in the series, and they're in most video games in existence. Sometimes they frustrate us with their tantalizing, intriguing mysteriousness, as they make us endlessly wonder "What on earth could be beyond that door, on that island, over in that part of town? What am I missing by not seeing this part of the world?" I'm sure this has happened to all of us at some point. But which part of the MI world have you most wanted to see; what part of it have you desperately wanted to explore or investigate the most? Whether it be as small as the shack out the front of Ozzie's house, or as big as big as Pinchpenny Island, let us know which part of the world you'd like to unlock the most.

Hmm...I've always wanted to see the treasure I looted from the defeated pirate ships in Curse...you know, before exchanging it for cannons...

I was always curious about the Voodo Lady's screen in the first game. Once you were there, the SCUMM bar (the action verb bar, not THAT SCUMM bar) disappeared and you were only able to (try to) say things to the Voodoo Lady. Other things were the books that appear in the various games. (The recipe book in Curse was a pleasant surprise.) Speaking about books, did any of you play 'a Tale of Two Kingdoms?' (It's a free adventure game made in AGS.) I am playing it now and it is just fantastic. Anyway, there are some references to classic adventure games in it. For example, there is a book in the game called 'The Mystery of Ape Atoll' by master bard Ronald, (that is, Ron,) which is 'full of sword fighting, dark magic and undead creatures.' Also, if you click a hollow stump, the game tells you 'Please insert disk 24. Oops, sorry, wrong game.'

We really only get to see the docks and the main road to the Gov's mansion in the village located on Melee I have always wondered what other cool things are tucked away under that lookout mountain on this lively pirate haven.

I'd really like to have properly explored Elaine's mansion. Especially after the chaos Guybrush caused there o:D
You're not supposed to enjoy classics, you're supposed to analyze them for meaning that isn't there!

I would also have liked to see what happened after Guybrush wrecked up the Governor's Mansion. o:lol:
That IS the biggest Monkey Island site I've ever seen!
